I've heard of many side effects with statins....not sure on diabetes, but wouldn't rule it out. Check the list of possible side effects of the drug.

I would NOT touch them, there are TOO Many ways to work with the "cholesterol myth". Yes, look that one up "cholesterol myth"......cholesterol is a big money maker....

I'm 76 soon, and my integrative MD has been checking Homocysteine Levels as the big heart issue, not cholesterol......

Not many folks on this Alternative Group. So many into drugs.......j

There has been so much coming out about statins that it really is uncertain as to what it can or not not cause or affect. I would not ever say that it would not raise the risk of diabetes as anything is possible with these. I really do feel they need to do more to check for the risks of taking these and it is a shame they have not done so.
