Exclamation Desperate for your advice on meds for debilitating anxiety

I NEED ADVICE ON MEDICATIONS THAT ACTUALLY WORK FOR SEVERE ANXIETY!

I have been on Lexapro for years. I have been up to 60mg per day but am currently on 30mg. This stuff is useless for my anxiety and chronic, unrelenting fear of social interaction. CBT and counselling are also useless for my anxiety, I tried them for years.

I need to find meds which ACTUALLY WORK in cases of extreme anxiety.

    My current medication regime:

    -Lexapro 30mg daily
    -Valium 30mg daily
    -Started Lyrica today 2 x 75mg

Is there anything that works better than Valium or Lyrica for severe anixety? I'm looking for something that will last long and give me freedom

WOW, that's quite a cocktail of drugs. Have you had a thorough check by your family doc for any underlying physical causes of your anxiety? I would check it out. Meditation? I don't know. I wish you the best of luck.

My cocktail is small time compared to some other SA sufferers lol
Unfortunately I think I may need a 'long island ice tea' cocktail of drugs to keep this chronic anxiety under control.
I've tried meditation, CBT, breathing, visualisation - I've tried the lot. Been with a shrink for over 5 yrs. None of that mental mumbo jumbo works for me lol

Don't know what to tell you other than to see a neurologist not a shrink. I wish you the best though!

Thanks heaps for your help. Do you know of anyone having success with neurologists regarding anxiety? I am very intrigued by that suggestion.
