    Default percocet >>. pain patches

I am just wondering if you get the same high effect on the patches that you do on percocet?

    Hello Carolyn,

Everyone is different and no two people respond or feel the same way. Some do and some do not on either. Not what you wanted to hear but is the truth. Either though as you know are to be used for pain management or other indications as determined by you and your health care specialist and not for the purpose of getting a so called high effect. That said it depends on the dosage but initially either one can produce that euphoria feeling. Both are widely misused and abused also in various ways. By "patches" I assume you mean fentanyl. Due to the mind altering effects of either this is one of the many reasons they should not be used when operating a vehicle or anything that requires concenration.

If you are scripted the patches then it would be best to try them first like on a Friday evening if you don't have to go anywhere over the weekend to see how you react to them. Depending on the individual as each responds differently but in general once the patch is put on it usually kicks in after a few hours for some but for sure by the next day it will be in full force. It also depends on where you locate the patch. Some put it on their upper arm while others their lower flank right by the love handles so to speak. Do not break open the patches to expose the contents and if you do throw it away. Patches also once stuck on and it comes off do not restick on very well. Do not wrap cellophane or anything over the patch.
