    Default Appendectomy complication

My friend's wife had a laproscopic appendectomy. It turned out that the doctor nicked a nerve while performing the surgery. She has a problem digesting the carbohydrates, and the food isn't being pushed from the upper part of intestines to lower part as some part has stopped working completely. Is there any medical procedure we can follow so that her intestine start working again?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your friend's wife needs to seek professional medical help as quickly as possible. Her issue is really beyond the scope of what we do here; if your friends are unwilling to seek assistance from the surgeon who performed the initial surgery, tell them to contact a specialist in Gastroenterology. We hope she fares well, and do let us know how she's doing.
