Hello and I completely agree with Ms. Mtndogs. I’d like to add never use “pulling out” as a means of birth control, either as primary, secondary, nor...

About gomphrena
I'm a 61 year old retired (way too soon at 52 due to illnesses and inability to sustain pace required of a hard-working, dedicated, loyal Registered Nurse) from a career I loved. Diagnoses include Fibromyalgia, chronic Lymes disease, Degenerative Disc Disease, Degenerative Joint Disease, and Osteoarthritis. Recently diagnosed with bilateral torn rotator cuffs. Also, subdx include Migraines, but that's common in both Lymes and Fibro. Numerous bilat. foot surgeries, hysterectomy 2002, appendectomy 1984. Wait, I seem to be filling out yet another form at a doctor's office. Y'all don't want to hear about all that, right??!! YOU WANT TO HEAR HOW AND WHY I'M HERE, and how we might help each other in our common quest to feel like human beings as God intended (yes, I'm Christian, there's no other Way so save your argument there, but I'll be extremely happy to share my faith!) I'm happily - sometimes ecstatically - married 38 years December 21 (longest night of the year, heh heh) 2017, and we have 3 growns (2 girls, 1 boy) and 4 grands (all boys!). We also indulge in critters - an absolute life necessity, we feel - inside the house: 2 10-year old sibling cats, Jack & Sally; and a 13-year old Beagle named Nicky, and a 2-year-old half rednose pit bull (I know, I know! We said we'd never...but!) that our son happened upon in the creek bottomland, wandering starved, shivering, sick, fleabitten, and scared (now she's well, beautiful, happy, sleek and fit!) Outside, we have 2 rescues: a part coon dog and a small gorgeous black and tan registered German Shepherd who was bullied terribly by his sibs, and was given to us to raise. Duke is 10 now. And of course, there's Daisy Mae, half German Shepherd, solid white, and all beautiful. Last but not least, there are 4 retired, abused racehorses we adopted 15 years ago, who are all at least 25 years old. Yes, we do live on a farm, about 25 miles from the nearest town of any size. I do not miss the grueling work commute, especially in bad weather. Now, sit back, and listen to my story. I probably have quite different perspectives than most on here.
Flower gardening (though no longer able to do much); our critters; all things aviation; entomology.
Registered Nurse (retired); Farmowner
