Default Hydrocodone not showing up in urine test

Hi, I take 1 to 2 (usually 2) 10-325 MGS of hydrocodone daily ,pain specialist says not showing up in urine test.
I'm in liver Failure And Kidney failure, I take 2 different fluid pills a day and have to drink large amounts of water ,so I constantly have to urinate to the point I get up even at night 30 minutes to an hour to urinate.
Would any of this cause it not to show up in urine test, keep in mind I've been disabled for decades and have always been on some kind of pain meds and have been seeing this pain specialist for 8 years .
The tramadol and ambient I take shows up in test ,also if I hurt alot during the first part of the prescription cycle I take more and sometimes I'm out of my hydrocodone 4 to 5 days before I see doctor and the urine test was giving as was the case last month when I tested.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank You

    Hi and Welcome,

I think that your last statement sums it up. If you hadn't taken any hydro for 4 or 5 days prior to the urine analysis, it just might not show. It usually only takes 3 or 4 days of not taking a short acting opiate such as those hydros before you would test negative. If you haven't already, I'd be honest with your doctor so that he knows. One of the reasons they test is to be sure that that drug is present to help prevent people from selling their meds instead of taking them. Have a frank talk with your doctor.

    Good luck!

    Peace,

    Cat

I agree, Cat hit the nail on the head! That is the reason for your negative result! In case you didn't know they are also testing to make sure that you are not taking anything that you're not prescribed so keep that in mind! Take care... God bless us all!
