    Default Just one quick question

Hi all... I'm on day 23 without using OxyContin/Oyxcodone.
I was doing between 200-240 mg a day for over 14 years...

My question is - when will I freaking feel better???
Still have headaches, chillls, sneezing, body aches,
some stomach issues, and the dreaded insomnia.

Am I getting close to feeling like myself???

Btw, I am 61 years old.

    Thanks for listening...

You should be very close to coming out the other side. My story is very similar to your's. I'm 63 now but was 56 when I did my last cold turkey detox from using about the same as you. Did you cold turkey? The symptoms you are still experiencing are the same that bothered me for awhile except for the aches. Those were mostly passed pretty quickly but the other stuff, especially the inability to sleep just hangs on for a time and returns very gradually. Maybe an hour or two one night, then three, then none and so it goes. Your lack of some good sleep is likely causing some of those symptoms or at least making them feel worse. I'd say by about a month I was able to get around five hours a night regularly with an occasional bad night. Then again, I'm 7 years clean and I still have bad nights every now and again. Not detox, just old age! It turns out that I only need about 6 hours of sleep a night so by a month, I was nearly getting what turns out to be a good night for me. It seems like forever and I know it. Not being able to sleep is the pits.

You're doing great though! No turning back now.

    Peace,

    Cat

Thanks Cat... I appreciate your feedback.

And yeah, I did go cold turkey (why in hell do they call it that).

    Have a great day.

    Cold Turkey = Stopping Abruptly.

Congratulations! Remember that 1 pill is too many and a 1000 is never enough.

Keep your guard up as the BEAST will try to take you down when you least expect it to happen.
