Might be. Many of these small OTC manufacturers use the same imprint on different pills.

According to my references, the pill is 500 mg acetaminophen (generic extra-strength Tylenol).

Kirby, can you refer me to your source, just for my information?
The only image I could pull up was a brown bottle of vitamin C, I realize that is somewhat vague.
I don't understand why even a small OTC mnf would use the same imprint, shouldn't the poison control or FDA (assuming it's american)disallow that practice?
I trust the info you provided.

My source also confirms this as being Tylenol, manufactured by AAA, 500mgs Acetaminophen, so it is extra strength.

I can't give you the link to my source, because it is a site you have to pay to use, for medical professionals and researchers, but here's the listing:

    M2A457344
    Tylenol
    AAA
    Tab, White, Round
    Acetaminophen 500 mg
    Analgesic
    (Ident-A-Drug is the site!)

All other listings I find also list it as Acetaminophen, all my resources do. I think that the Vitamin C just shares the last digits of the numbers, not the entire imprint.

However, cats, there is no guideline saying imprints have to be unique for OTC products, they are not strictly regulated like prescription drugs, so a company could put the same exact imprint on all of their products if they wish.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~

I just looked at the WallRX listing that you were using cats, and the imprint is not identical if you look up the Vitamin C tablets, it is just the same numbers, the 57344, these do not have the M2A4 on them like the Acetaminophen tablets do.

Thank you for your time and information, I know I couldn't find M2A4 and I checked several places, I always like an image to back up my pill ID, and all they show is a brown bottle, not much help. I usually try and add a disclaimer if I can't find an exact image, I'm glad I was followed up on.
IMHO, it seems like a no brainer to have dup markings on OTC, that's my 2cents.
I learned something new today, thanks again!
