I’ve been posting stuff on here that isn’t showing up? Anyways, Day 7! I feel on top of the world! Ever since day 4 things keep getting better and better.. went for a super long walk today pushed my son in his stroller about 1.5 miles to have breakfast then walked home. The hot sun felt amazing on my skin! Listened to music the whole way there and back.. got home and my son was already asleep so I carried him to his room and put him down for a nap and hoped in the shower bc I swear my >>>> off on that walk lol now I’m sprawled out on my couch in front of the a/c and my whole being feels lifted, my body is tingling and my head feels so clear. It’s like I’m brand new right in this moment. Anyways, I probably sound like a freak hahah but I’m just going to sit here and relax maybe meditate a bit and take a little nap.. thanks for being my support system you guys are awesome!

I’m definitely going to bed early tonight! Have to be up at 330am again tomorrow!

Just wanted to add that today is my fiancé’s 4th day off subs! I am so proud of him! He has been very quiet and hasn’t complained at all but when I asked him how he felt today he discribed it as feeling like “hot garbage” lmao ew! He has been using my subs ever since we got together 4 years ago.. he never used more than 2mg so that’s a plus for him.. but he was having these strange vomiting fits the past 4 years since we got together.. for a while it was happening once a month for 3 to 5 days and his stomach killed we would have to go to the ER for nausea meds and fluids and something to help him rest. Now he hasn’t been sick like that in almost 6 months and he has been below .5mg since then! I think the subs were making him sick! It was so scary too and we went to see so many doctors and specialist and had every test under the sun done and everything came back normal but they decided to take his gallbladder out over a year ago and it didn’t even help.. they were just guessing!? Insane! Plus the drs didn’t know he was taking subs so maybe if they knew that they would have tried something else? Idk hopefully it’s over with now! I am so happy! I feel like we are a brand new couple again I feel so stupid in love <3

Day 10! Woke up wicked early bc I went to bed so early and woke up at 330 the last two days in a row for work. It was wicked hot in our apartment last night, we have an a/c in the living room and usually open the windows and put fans in them in my sons room and our room but it wasn’t much cooler outside than it was in the apartment, my thermostat was reading over 85 inside through the night! Yuck! We took many cool baths and showers last night. My fiancé fell asleep on the couch right in front of the a/c what a brat! I wanted so badly to kick him off so I can sleep there but I didn’t lol plus then who would have woke up when our son was crying at midnight bc he was too hot! Finally by then it was a bit cooler outside so I did the window fans and that helped.. today’s my day off and am so excited! It’s going to be a very busy week! Working 4 nights closing in a row and it’s the week of the 4th of July! Double time pay for me on Wednesday oh yeah! Then I have the whole weekend off

Day 13 I am for sure all done with w/d’s.. it’s been so hot lately and we still haven’t bought another a/c so our apartment is still so hot and I ended up in the ER from almost passing out a few times and being dehydrated with a wicked bad headache.. they checked on my baby and everything is great and gave me some fluids and sent me home, this was 2 days ago and yesterday for the 4th we spent the day at a families lake house.. I have work tonight and tomorrow and the weekend off hope you’re all well! Have a good day!

    Hello Mommy!

Just checking in to see how you're doing. I see all is well with you (sub wise) and the baby! Awesome!!!

Sorry about the heat, it's been brutal this year. Not so good almost passing out because of it. Yes, fluids, fluids, and more fluids help tremendously.

Thanks for all the updates. I've been trying to post to you but haven't had much luck as posts keep disappearing.

Anyway hope you get some relief from the heat. Talk to you soon...

Hey Randy! I’ve been trying to get back to you but it won’t let me post it keeps saying something about the thread being expired or something like that. I am still doing and feeling wonderfully today is day 24! I do think I have developed some kind of outdoor allergies bc I am super stuffy and sneezey with a sore throat since yesterday and I spent all day out in the humid heat at my sister in laws 30th birthday party. Only thing I can take is Benadryl and that makes me super sleepy so I only take it for naps and bed lol other than that my fiancé is still going strong as well! I think he is about a week behind me and we have become a better couple, better parents and better people individually he went out of his way to help the new neighbors downstairs move some big heavy stuff in which of course is very kind but my pregnancy hormones almost got the best of me when I started to get jealous lol I was able to settle myself down before I got upset with him then thought to myself wow that was real silly of me! Sex is amazing and makes us feel so much closer to each other it’s beautiful I am able to focus on feeling with all my senses which I don’t think I was able to before! My man also plays guitar and has always bred good at it but you can tell he has become more in tune with himself and the music he plays now, even family members at his sisters party who don’t know he was on subs before and now off them noticed it and mentioned to him he has gotten a lot better.. there’s just so much more passion in our lives now! Anyways that’s all I got for today.. I’ll check in soon, hope you all are doing great!

Day 31 today! I can’t belive it’s been a while 30 days and 1 I am so happy! I don’t know for sure if I am really still having very brief light withdrawals very randomly or if it’s just all in my head. It may be like every other couple days or a few days in a row where just for a moment I get the chills and goosebumps and almost instantly get a cold sweat and my mind goes straight to thinking I’m having a withdrawal but then as soon as I say to myself to let my body do it’s thing it passes very quickly and I don’t think about it at all.. idk it’s strange and sometimes in those moments I find myself thinking “oh, did I not take my sub yet today” then I’m like oh yeah, I haven’t taken sub in over a month! That’s silly why was I thinking that? Lol but it doesn’t bother me. It’s like I feel so much lately and I can actually handle it.. well I am 14 weeks pregnant tomorrow so that means I am officially in my second trimester and I see my dr for a prenatal visit in a week from today! I’ll check back in then.. hope you all are enjoying your summer

Thank you Randy! Today is day 60! And I am 18 weeks pregnant feeling baby kick and love every day! Soon to find out the gender just waiting on the call to schedule the ultrasound appointment it’s very exciting! How are you doing!? Also, I have a few questions/concerns about my fiancé. He is about 11 days behind me on being off subs and I feel like it’s still bothering him in ways (he’s so unmotivated and lazy!) it’s very unlike him! He won’t admit it or tie it to being off subs but I heard that can be a thing even after a mint or so of being off them.. I feel bad because I’ve been laying into him about it worse than I normally would because I’m pregnant and sometimes feel like a single mom doing it all while pregnant as well.. I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance that this work last much longer and will pass soon!

Hey mommy. Congratulations on 60 days!!! So happy for you. As far as your fiance goes. What dose did he jump from? I know I jumped from a higher dose than recommended and the 2 things that seemed to linger the longest were sleep issues and the lethargy. I just had to force myself to get moving. Everyone heals differently so it's not out of the realm of possibility that around 50 days he is still feeling it a bit. For me it just gradually got better and eventually I stopped thinking about it. Just be as encouraging as possible. But don't be afraid to throw a few jabs in there as well. I'm sure he can take it. This is a tough journey as you know and he is so lucky to have you on his side.

    Hope this helps
    Have a great day!!

    Hey!

Along with the question Beef asked about what dose he jumped from, I would also want to know how long hubby was on the subs, his highest dose, and how did he taper? All of that matters as to how he might be feeling and for how long.

As Beef mentioned we all heal differently. We also have different metabolism's that come into play along with physical condition, fluid intake, exercise level, and other factors.

Give a few more details about hubby and we'll come up with some answers.

Glad to hear you're doing so well. Very proud of you!

Hey, thanks guys! He jumped at .25mg and was on them for 3 years 2mg being his highest dose. He also always has done hard physical labor (construction) and drinks lots of water. I know work wipes him out a lot and you’re right we do all heal differently and it’s hard to get used to. I guess I just didn’t think I would have had it so easy!

    Thanks for the info.

Looks like he did it the right way, tapering down to .25mg and never on a very high amount. The 3 years he took the subs would allow for quite some build up in his system. It could take a while for it all to dissipate. Best thing he can do is continue working that physical labor intensive job and drink lots of fluids. That will help more than anything else.

Make him eat healthy if he isn't already, and get more protein in his diet along with protein shakes that will provide extra energy. Plenty of vitamins and supplements available that can also help.

Honestly the one thing that will make the most difference is TIME. Given a bit more time and he'll begin feeling better and better. Tell him to hang in there and don't use no matter what.

    Randy

Hi there.....I know I’ve never posted on your thread. I’ve only been on the forum for about a month. But I just wanted to tell you how awesome it is that you were able to taper subs successfully while pregnant. I am in the same position now....I’m almost 10 weeks....and I’m down to .375mg. I’ve been scared like you were....and I feel more encouraged now since I see how well it’s turned out for you. I am hoping the same for me. Seeing your posts has definitely made me feel better. Thank you so much❤️. And congratulations on your pregnancy!

You need to ask your Dr. For Subutex. It's the only safe drug for pregnant women. Hope that helps.
